OnFiber Communications Inc., an optical metropolitan connectivity provider, today announced it is expanding its agreement with PAIX.net Inc. (PAIX), a leading carrier-neutral Internet exchange and subsidiary of Metromedia Fiber Network Inc. (MFN) (Quote), and will offer high bandwidth services in three additional PAIX facilities.
OnFiber's metro transport network broadens the choice of connectivity options for PAIX participants and enhances the value of the PAIX facilities to its participants, officials said.
Numerous PAIX participants already take advantage of OnFiber's presence in the Palo Alto facility where OnFiber provides over 90 Gigabits per second of metro bandwidth connectivity between this facility and other traffic aggregation points throughout the Bay Area. By establishing a presence in the Dallas, Seattle and Vienna, Va. (Washington D.C.) PAIX facilities, OnFiber will give PAIX customers in these markets new options for reaching various destinations throughout each metropolitan area.
OnFiber's service offerings (including SONET, Gigabit Ethernet and Optical Wavelength) and expedient circuit activation to carrier hotels, collocation facilities, data centers, and other service provider POPs, provides the PAIX customers unique opportunities to enhance their interconnectivity.
