Mintera, a Lowell, Mass., optical networking transport startup, has added Jesse Lipcon, a former Digital and
Compaq executive, to its advisory board.
Lipcon has 35 years of engineering and business management experience, mostly at Digital and Compaq, where he started and managed several multi-billion-dollar
computer system businesses. He retired from Compaq in November 2000, as vice-president of its Alpha Technology division.
He also serves on the external advisory committee of the electrical and computer engineering department at Johns Hopkins University and advises several small and
mid-size companies.
Mintera is developing photonic transmission systems for the regional, long haul and ultra long haul markets. The privately held company opened in October 2000 and
