Unfortunately, if you are a small business owner you also cope with some challenges the big guys don't have, budgets are small and your IT staff, if you even have one, may not have storage-specific expertise. Attend this webcast and learn storage strategies to meet your growing business demands.

New Partnership to Build Last-Mile Net in Mexico
February 20, 2002
By Optically Networked Staff

Last-mile metropolitan conduit concern Media Fiber LLC, along with energy infrastructure company TractebelCH2M HILL, said they would partner to bring a state-of-the-art last-mile network to Mexico.

The partnership was formed to design, construct and deploy an underground conduit network that will allow telecommunications companies to deliver state-of-the-art fiber optic connectivity to several million industrial and residential customers in the cities of Guadalajara, Tampico and Queretaro, Mexico.

Media Fiber's exclusive right of way agreement with Tractebel allows it to distribute and route conduit systems in gas pipeline trenches in Mexico. The CH2M HILL Communications Group, meantime, will manage systems engineering and planning, conduit design and construction inspection for this project and will support this project from its telecommunications design center in Santiago, Chile.
