Eagle Broadband said that its ClearWorks subsidiary recently completed its second Houston-area Master Headend Facility and officially turned on the fiber-optic system that supports its Bundled Digital Services (BDSSM) in a Houston community.
The new master facility serves the far western part of Greater Houston and surrounding communities, while the fiber-optic network is in the Canyon Gate at the Brazos master-planned community in southwest Houston.
ClearWorks said it has initiated sales and marketing activities in Canyon Gate at the Brazos and expects to begin contacting all homeowners directly within the next few days. Through ClearWorks' single-source communications package, homeowners at Canyon Gate at the Brazos will now have access to high-speed broadband Internet connectivity, digital-quality, cable-style television over fiber (200+ TV/music channels), local and long-distance telephone service, and security monitoring services.
Approximately 1200 homes are planned for Canyon Gate at the Brazos. About 250 homes have been completed, and most of those are occupied.
The company also noted that ClearWorks has completed, or is about to complete, a number of FTTH networks that have been under construction during the past year.
